Gannon’s journey in the NFL began as an intern with the Cardinals back in 2007. His hard work and dedication eventually led him to become an assistant defensive backs coach in 2014.

During his time with the Cardinals, Gannon had the opportunity to work with some of the best coaches in the league. The experience allowed him to develop his skills and gain valuable knowledge about the game. He credits his success to the guidance and mentorship he received from renowned coaches like Steve Wilks and Todd Bowles.

Gannon’s time with the Cardinals also gave him the chance to work with star players such as Patrick Peterson and Tyrann Mathieu. These interactions helped shape his coaching style and taught him how to effectively communicate and connect with players on a personal level.

In 2018, Gannon left the Cardinals and joined Frank Reich’s coaching staff with the Indianapolis Colts. He served as the team’s defensive backs coach for three seasons before being hired as the defensive coordinator for the Eagles in 2021.

As the Eagles’ defensive coordinator, Gannon aims to implement a versatile and aggressive defensive scheme. He believes in creating a culture of competitiveness and emphasizes the importance of discipline and attention to detail.
